A mini Trip, June 27, 2004
There's nothing very exciting about this mini trip, other than it was another chance for me to fly my wings a little bit, and work up the courage to take a longer solo outing next month. I'm documenting it because it is a way to look back and remember what I've done and seen.
My goal for this mini trip was to cross Milwaukee Ave. in a new direction.
My sister built a small raised flower bed in front of the house and planted flowers where the pine trees used to be.
You can see from the photo why I made crossing Milwaukee Ave. my goal for this trip. It definitely was a daunting street to cross.
This was the Italian restaurant I wrote about in the May 2004 post. My secret agenda? Could I reach this restaurant from home? I could. But it wasn't open so I didn't stop to eat.
This nail parlor might be doable in the future.
Two small stores on Milwaukee that caught my eye. Not only did the art store have fascinating art work for sale, they offered classes. Could I take a class there? And the doctor's office? There aren't many naprapaths and finding the nearby office of this one was worth noting.
As I headed home I passed a home that had a delightful front garden that included a miniature waterfall.
